If you’re planning a trip to Norfolk and want a comfortable, flexible place to stay, I have great news. From mid-July 2026, guests at Briars Cottage can now accommodate up to six people across both properties – cottage + hut, making it perfect for families or two couples with children.

More space for families and groups
Briars Cottage alone comfortably sleeps four guests in two double bedrooms. Adding Briars Hut increases the sleeping capacity to six, with three double beds spread between the two accommodations. This setup is ideal if you’re travelling with children or friends but want a bit of privacy and space. The hut is a charming shepherd's hut with access to the Cottage's hot tub. It's a cosy retreat positioned right next to the cottage.
Both the cottage and hut come with self-contained amenities, so you don’t have to share kitchens or bathrooms unless you want to. This makes it easier to manage different schedules or preferences during your stay. For example, parents can relax in the hut while kids enjoy the cottage, or two couples can have their own space but still come together for meals or social time.
Enjoy the indoor hot tub and garden views
One of the highlights of booking Briars Hut alongside Briars Cottage is the optional use of the indoor hot tub. The hot tub area features large doors that open directly onto the garden, blending indoor comfort with outdoor freshness, terrific for relaxing after a day exploring Norfolk’s beautiful countryside or visiting local events.
The hot tub is a great way to unwind, whether you’re visiting in summer or cooler months. It adds a special touch to your stay that you won’t find in many other self-catering accommodation options in the area. Plus, the garden space is perfect for kids to play or for a quiet morning coffee.

Bringing your dog along
If you’re traveling with your dog, Briars Cottage and Briars Hut welcome your furry friends and your dog has ample space to roam safely in the garden area. This flexibility is a big plus for pet owners who want to enjoy a holiday without worrying about cramped spaces or restrictions.
Why choose Briars Cottage with Briars Hut?
Staying in Norfolk offers a chance to explore charming villages, coastal walks, and historic sites. The Briars Cottage and Briars Hut combination provides a comfortable base with plenty of space and privacy. The self-catering accommodation means you can enjoy home-cooked meals or try local produce from nearby markets.
Whether you’re visiting family, attending an event, or simply exploring the region, this setup adapts to your needs. The option to book both properties together makes it easier to travel with a larger group without losing the feeling of a cosy, personal retreat.
